In choosing mascara, do you have any idea what qualities to look for?

There are actually five factors that one should really consider before purchasing a product.

First is the price. Do not think that just because it is not as expensive as other brands, it will be less effective. You will be surprised to find out how many affordable types of mascara do the same job at a cheaper price.

Second is the color. The color should actually go with the hair color you have. If you are brunette opt for black, but if you are a blonde or a redhead, try using brown to compliment your locks.

Third thing to look for is the formulation. Some lashes are drier and more brittle than others.  Choose a mascara formulation that not only does its jobs but also conditions and is hypoallergenic.

The type of mascara comes in fourth. Depending on your needs, try to look for one brand that will able to get you through the day. If your eye lashes are sparse, opt for thickening mascara but if what you want are long lasting, then try the waterproof ones.

The last thing to look out for is the wand applicator. Straight brushes are ideal for mascara applications at the corners of your eyes while curved ones usually are used to coat more lashes. Think of all these before purchasing to make sure that what you buy really come through for you in the long run.
